xyz = your username for panthermail and D2L acccounts = yourloginname
as in, xyz@uwm.edu = your panthermail address.

X = the first letter of your user name 
as in, alphaX.csd.uwm.edu = your ftp address.

~ = tilde, designating a personal web space
as in, http://www.uwm.edu/~xyz = your index page Web URL.

Web addressing:
If you desire a page besides the index, you must put the full name in, including the extension.
So, it would be: http://www.uwm.edu/~xyz/filename.html 
instead of http://www.uwm.edu/~xyz

FTP Addressing:
	Username/Login name 
Your username is your UWM Panthermail address without the “@uwm.edu”.  If your email address is “xyz@uwm.edu”, then your username will be “xyz”. 
	Password
Your password is the same as your Panthermail password.
	Remote Host Addressor Server Name
This is what you enter in Filezilla in the box labeled address: alphax.csd.uwm.edu
The Remote Host Address or Server Name is your UWM Alpha domain name. Your Alpha domain name is:
 “alphaX.csd.uwm.edu” where “X” in “alphaX” is the first letter of your login name.  For example, a person with the login name “xyz” has the domain name “alphax.csd.uwm.edu”.
	In a Browser
In a browser, you must enter the entire url for ftp, since it won't build it for you.
This address is ftp://xyz@alphax.csd.uwm.edu/www
